What does “transparency” mean? When we say “transparent,” we’re referring to the fact that our product accomplishes its goals (reliable and comprehensive PC backup and data migration) without negatively affecting network traffic, IT staff workload or end-user productivity.
How is DataAlways transparent to the end-user? The DataAlways Client agent operates completely in the background. Data is automatically backed up whenever new data is saved. There are no schedules to set, and the PC never needs to be taken off-line. Users can work with their applications just as they would normally. With DataAlways installed, users can be assured that their little mistakes won’t be fatal or permanent, and severe damage from virus attacks or hardware failures can be reversed.

Does DataAlways protect against viruses? DataAlways does versioning and mirroring at the system level, so it will intercept and track changes (damage) to files that are caused by a virus infection. As an example, the System Rollback feature can be used to completely undo the consequences of a virus attack and restore the infected PC to its working, uninfected state.
What are the benefits to the mobile/laptop user not always connected to the LAN? DataAlways protects continuously, even when your desktop or laptop is disconnected from the Internet. When changes are made to a file, those changes are captured locally on the hard disk, and when a server connection is established, the accumulated information is transmitted to the server. Even changes made while on an airplane are backed up once the computer is reconnected to the Internet.
